Writer's Block

I haven't been taking many photos (Sears or otherwise). I haven't been writing about anything. Life is just kind of rolling along.

Becca is really into coloring these days. I bought a big roll of paper at IKEA the other week and it is so fun to just cover the kitchen table in it and let Becca go with the coloring! I guess I need to go out and get some more markers and crayons. We have about four of each.

Playgroup is here tonight. So, I'm whipping up one of my all-time favorite dips and getting ready to have a little fun! (And hoping no errant and wild kids poke any holes in any walls.)

Hot Bacon and Swiss Dip (courtesy of Jean Blair)
8 oz. bacon slices
8 oz. cream cheese, softened (I use light cream cheese)
1 cup mayo (I use light and use a little less than 1 cup)
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
1 bunch green onions, chopped (the entire thing, green and white parts)
Butter crackers

Cook bacon until crisp. Crumble.
Mix cream cheese, swiss cheese, mayo and green onions together until well combined.
Spoon into shallow baking dish.
Sprinkle bacon and crushed butter crackers on top.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until heated through.

Serve with crackers. ENJOY!

I was just thinking that same thing about nothing too exciting happening in my life. I guess that could be considered a good thing!
Oh and the dip was GREAT!

So, how did play group go? With a big roll of paper I imagine you could keep kids entertained for hours!

OMG, what a great idea for those days at school when I just can't take it anymore - lay out a loooooong piece of butcher paper in the hall and have the kids DRAW! I could even think of a theme - draw a picture of children being kind to one another! Love it!
