Same Snot, Different Day

Every morning I wake up thinking that I should be feeling better. Every day for 5 days. And yet, still not feeling better. Not feeling worse, but just kind of the same. I can't remember EVER being sick for so long. The doctor can't fit me in until tomorrow. I can't believe I didn't get a flu shot. What was I THINKING? I don't think this is the flu (just a bad cold with possible sinus infection), but being sick for so many days makes me realize how dumb it was not to get the shot.

Poor John has been frantically sanitizing the house. He leaves for a two day trip today and I can see a glint of hope in his eyes. He can't wait to get out of here! Can't say I blame him.

So. Nothing new here. Becca is still watching 14 hours of TV a day and I'm still sitting on the couch with my head in my hands. How much longer can this go on?

Why don't y'all tell me something cool you've been doing. It will help distract me. What is the rest of the world doing while I fester inside? I haven't left the house in three days! What did you do today?

Oh, it's horrible to be sick.

Let's see...I've been trapped with 2 toddlers all weekend alone, Kate barfed last night right when I was trying to leave her with the sitter to go to a movie, and Claire has a cold. BUT I did get to see that movie afterall (27 Dresses), and Tim is due home tonight.

Hope you feel better SOON!

Sorry, can't share an uplifting story...I am in the same sinking boat, the doc is treating it as a sinus infection -never had one of these before. Are they painful or what?! Oh, well misery loves company!

PS. I took Flonase less than an hour ago and am feeling a little better already. GET TO THE DOCTOR, ASAP!!!

Sweat it out!! Work out every day: running, aerobics, weights, etc.. I started getting sick last week and turned my 60 minute daily run in to 90 minutes. I still have a cough, stuff still comes up, but it's not too bad and it's getting better.

Every day!! Get going!!!

Ummmmmm.... Anonymous? Are you kidding me? My head is about to EXPLODE from the most pressure I've ever felt in my head before. The thought of running? HA HA HAHA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Well - I got caught in snow squalls last night that turned an 1:45 drive into 5 hours...but that probably doesn't cheer you up eh?

FEEL BETTER!

Stay right there on the couch. STAY. Hang on until tomorrow's appointment. Fluids! Vaporizer! Rest! Tylenol! No running!

What I've been doing is cleaning my kitchen floor. What a ridiculous waste of time. It looks exactly the same, but now I FREAK OUT if anyone WALKS on it.

Sorry you are sick.Today is not so bad a day to be stuck inside. It is very, very cold outside (14 degrees on our way to school this morning).
If you take afrin twice a day and no more (because you can get a rebound runny rose if used too much)it really does help dry things up and help you breath.I am not one to try afrin but last week I had the worst cold ever and it really did help me so much.thats all I have. And don't worry about tv and Becca, we all survived on a lot more of less kid friendly shows than our kids are watching. As long as she is happy, you can rest a bit. Take care. Renee

Well, I'm apparently anemic, and the Doctor told me to take PRENATAL vitamins. When I came home from the store with them, my roommates basically freaked out. Fun times. Hopefully they will work.

What I've been doing is buying plane tickets to Miami and Mexico for Spring Break and Senior Week. Now that I am too poor to eat, I might look pretty good in a swimsuit :)

I'm sorry you're still sick. :( Did you get the flu shot? I'm a big believer.

Amen to Swistle's comment. STAY.

I'm busy getting fatter and fatter. Oh, and Matt's thrilled that my mood swings have returned. Lucky boy. We're 31 weeks preg today...tick tick tick...

I will say that I usually agree with anonymous. I usually sweat it out. That is almost always my cure for illness, but this headache definitely makes it IMPOSSIBLE to run! Mine is diminishing, so hopefully it will be gone soon.
