PLASTIC CRAP! HOORAY!

This was all for less than $30 and less than 2 hours of checking out yard sales. Oh, and the farmer's market for the flowers. We were out by 7:15 a.m. making the rounds! God, that was more rewarding than Target! Nothing cost more than $5! And, if she ends up not playing with something...oh well. It cost a dollar. I won't feel bad dropping it off at Goodwill.

I was looking for outdoor toys. We bought:

A princess scooter and monster truck safety helmet (stylin'!)

A Dora ride-on toy

A plastic lawn mower

A plastic picnic table

A Play Doh accessory and tool kit

3 Disney videos (Cinderella, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast)

A princess book

A Barney book

A cooshie booster seat thing

A wagon full of mega blocks

Dora Backpack

Mr. Potato Head set

Dora umbrella

Sidewalk chalk, brand new

Snow White pajamas

T shirt and shorts

Princess bathing suit coverup

John is probably having a massive coronary as he is looking at this. He can't stand all the toys and all the plastic crap. But, he isn't the one who has to fill up all the hours of a day entertaining a child. This will make everything easier. At least for this week. I feel victorious.

You would die if I told you what time my kids usually sleep to. 715 is like the middle of the night for us. I'm so jealous you have a yard to put all that stuff!

Those Cooshie boosters are awesome!! Love them!

Wish you could come to my house - I have SO much to start getting rid of. And, Id give it to you for FREE! Nothing with princesses around here though :(

Did you see any wicker patio furniture? Ive heard that it is "ALWAYS" in "EVERY" yard sale, blah, blah, blah...huh? Ive been looking for almost a year. No luck. Maybe because I cant seem to get moving as fast as you early birds!

Yay for the great finds and bargains! You and Becca will be having a blast!

Glad to see you are following in your family footsteps. You guys got a fair amount of garage sale clothes and toys, too. Some were even wrapped up at Christmas when you were too young to know the difference! Made you happy!

Those "regifted" teacher gifts are about to end, though!

Yes, when you are home all day with them, you get extra votes on the toys and where to put them!

AWESOME haul. Way to go! I have never had that much luck with yard sales - good for you! I can't believe all the stuff you found, and it looks like it's in good condition. Plastic crap sucks, but the kids sure do love it!

Hell, I love the plastic crap too. I really, really do. Even though it is hideous, it is only temporary!

maryb--never saw any wicker either. I was looking for some years ago and heard the same thing from people.....they are LYING. Just go buy new stuff! :)

No bargains like that here. What a score!

Tell John that all the plastic is an investment in commodities. After all, plastic is made of petroleum, right? And oil is going for $115 a barrel and up! Someday your back yard will worth a fortune.

Love,
(Great) Aunt Linda
