The Graduates

Two weekends ago, we went to Worcester, MA to see my sister, Susan, graduate from Clark University. My brother, David, graduated from the University of Texas the day prior. Susan got a degree in Geography, and David in Economics! We are so proud of both of them!

And here are the proud parents! I have a great photo of all us together, but you can't see it because it is the Super-Top-Secret-Griswold-Family-Christmas-card-photo 2008. Below you will see how Becca spent the graduation ceremony:
She just wasn't interested in the long ceremony, she was much more interested in dirtying her diaper right before it was time for Susan to cross the stage. John watched in amazment as I just laid her right down in a flower bed and quickly changed that sucker. She stood up, mulch all stuck in her hair, and I ran back to the front to try to capture the actual moment of graduation.
Susan and her friends hosted a party at their house after the ceremony. David was the master of the grill, and made this awesome kabob grill in the yard. He also brought his own Lone Star beer.

At the top of the grill are the beef kabobs, the bottom features tofu. It was all delicious.

No party is complete without an awkward neck photo of me.

John, Becca and I had to leave just as the party was getting good. We had to get up at 4 a.m. the next morning to fly back home. Man, sometimes it is so lame having to be a (pregnant) grown up! Oh, to be young, 22 and hungover again. (NOT!)

I have a feeling the party went on into the wee hours! Congratulations, David and Susan!

Congrats to the graduates! Too funny, I actually grew up in Worcester and am familiar with Clark. Hope they liked it but Worcester isn't exactly all that exciting but Clark is a good school!

Congrats! Couldn't see them close up, but I think I LOVE Susan's shoes! She should have been up to the wee hours celebrating, she deserves it and she is 22. Wouldn't go back to that age if you paid me. I'm sure she's smarter/wiser than I was at that time though. Also, Davids kabob grill was fantabulous! Hello McGyver.

Does David make house calls with the Kabobs? They look yummy and the Kabob cooker is pretty clever.
