My Nemesis and/or My Next Nesting Project

This desk area in my kitchen. It always looks at least this bad, and usually it is much worse. This is actually sort of a good day. I cannot seem to keep up with the paper and clutter that accumulates here. Cell phone chargers, vitamin bottles, mail, stuff to be filed, stuff I need to DO or read (like the grocery store circulars), things that belong in other places in the house, my purse, crap that I dug out of the file cabinet and never put back, bills, etc. I am pretty good about tossing junk mail right away, so that isn't even my problem. It is the stuff that isn't the junk mail that ends up here. It is mostly stuff that requires some ACTION from me, and when I procrastinate, it all just piles up with no order whatsoever. Who can help me? I'll pay you with a piece of strawberry pie.

We ALL have "that place". You should see our office; even the floor is cluttered with piles and scrapbook junk...yikes!

A clutterd desk is a sign of a cluttered mine, but does that make a clean empty desk?? You should see our dinning room table and kitchen counter. I loved the pics of Becca in the strawberry patch yesterday. Why does everything need to match in Becca bedroom? Very little in my home matches. If you are ocd just wash your hands.as for the potty training With Sarah it was Chocolate kisses, & with Ben it was Hot Wheels cars. you just have too find the right reward for each Kid. and they also need to be ready to potty trained don't rush it.

Wish I could help. The top of Matt's dresser and on side of our kitchen countertop is that way. I've even bought space saving things to help with this problem. They too get cluttered.

Sorry, no help here. I'll keep checking back to see what the suggestions are b/c I need help too!

I don't know how much help I can be because I have a counterspace like that too - but it's more little stray marbles and hairclips and small odds and ends - buttons - that get stashed with the bigger things I'm too lazy to put away immediately. I did get a notebook to stash paper things I need to get to (permission slips, ballet schedules, bills to pay/bill schedule) and the notebook is great for handling the paper clutter... until I lose the notebook in random piles of stuff around the house, or forget that I have it and start searching random piles for that one slip of paper!

Don't listen to her. It doesn't look like that often. Your house always looks nice. The occasional toy is the only thing I ever see out of place.

Nesting - What's that?

OMG. I KNOW! It's so frustrating. We don't have a desk area, so ours is the KITCHEN COUNTER. Which keeps me teetering on the brink of insanity. I cannot keep it clear and useable. I don't know what to do. Though strawberry pie might help.
