103.8 fever last night for Becca.
Entire contents of medicine cabinet strewn about the bathroom.
Me trying not to panic for 3 hours while leaping out of bed every time Becca moaned.
5 hours of sharing the guest bed with a coughing, boiling, hallucinating ("I see Baby Bop! RIGHT THERE! Barney is sniffing you!") feverish child.
She kept crying out in pain and grabbing her lower back. Of course I laid there and worried about kidney problems and bladder problems and every possible bad thing it could be.
But yet, she woke up at 6:30 a.m. after a mere 4.5 hours of sleeping (on top of my arm in the same position, which may never be the same), chipper as usual. So, now I'm trying to keep my eyes open and imagining that I'll be feeling this way a lot come this fall. Except there will be one more creature demanding constant attention. Will someone please explain how this is actually going to work?

I am so sorry. I am glad she is better. I thought sickness was suppose to be in the winter, not July
I am glad she is at least feeling better. I hope she takes a nap today so you can too!!
Happy to hear she was fine in the morning.
I'm with Tracy. I don't know what is going on, but, this year-round constant sickness thing is the pits. What's up with all of our immune systems? But, then again, I think that only people with young children are experiencing this.
I keep asking myself the SAME question!
Easy. There is a law. Only one child may be sick at any one time, and when this happens the other child takes long naps and entertains him or herself in a safe manner for hours at a time.
Oh, no, poor baby! Poor mommy!
Sometimes the kids take turns: one is sick, and then after she's done the other one is sick. Or, you get the 2-for-1 special: as long as you're up with one, you might as well handle both. Only rarely is there the problem of one up and then the other up and then the first one up again.
Also, coffee is such a wonderful friend.
Oh, I hope she is better. Fevers are so scary, especially when they see things.
The first few months are hard, but things get easier (and then harder and then easier, and it just sort of keeps going like that...maybe forever?). You will be a great mom of 2 kids! And Becca will love being a big sister.
Wow! I am proud to say we haven't been sick in a while. Knock on wood. Fevers are so scary...hope you are getting rest.
Oh that sounds just awful - hope you both get good long naps today...
I feel so bad for you! Isn't it weird how they can have a terrible nights sleep and still wake up with tons of energy?
