Woe is Me

It is nearly midnight and I CAN. NOT. SLEEP. After an attitude-saving dinner out with Tracy's family at a Mexican restaurant, I have the worst heartburn I have ever experienced. I am not sure what is considered to be a toxic dose of Tums and Maalox, but I'm fairly certain I've reached that amount with no effect.

Shit. Becca is crying. I think we're going to be in for another long (or is it short?) night.

I am trying to sleep propped up, in a semi-sitting position, but am further plagued by restless leg syndrome in both legs, stopped up sinuses, sore throat, the fun gagging dry cough thing and a general feeling of wakefulness on top of it all.

Oh, pregnancy. You're such a little bitch.

*Update: Slept from about 2:30 a.m. until 6:30 when Becca woke up for the day. It is now 8 a.m., nearly 14 hours since I ate dinner and I STILL have heartburn. I guess I'm done with spicy food for the next three months, because I definitely do not need to experience this again!

Oh jeez...that sucks!!! Wish I could do something to help.

Cup of tea and a boring book, maybe? Or Will and Grace re-runs in syndication? I hear milkshakes are good for the heartburn?

You and I are so similar! Pregnancy reflux & RLS, husband gone all the time, toddler antics, and what is up with the sinus/scratchy sore throats?? I must get one every week. I have one right now! And screw honey. Everyone says to swallow honey and that'll help your throat. Yeah, right! I wish.

Good luck with sleep! I wish I had some great advice! I don't!

Ew, I just started the whole reflux thing pretty bad this week. I had some heartburn starting about a month ago, but it wained. The other night was really bad, I feel for you and cannot imagine having someone else to take care of while feeling like that.

Again, I am so sorry. I think it is time to hit the doctor's office. Maybe they can help with ONE of the symptoms. Are you still getting a nap during the day?

Oh my God! I feel for you. I had the worst heartburn with Claire - I would get it from drinking WATER, let alone eating anything with flavor. I hope your Zantac helps.
