Chubby Skeletor Says Hi

I had my final ultrasound today and got kicked out of the specialist's office for good. (I also got kicked in the bladder a few times.) The weird doctor even shook my hand and smiled, so we can take that as good news. As good as it comes from that guy!

Everything looks really good with the baby. While the doctor did go over all things that have happened to parvo babies after being born in the past, he said he didn't expect any of those to happen, since this baby seems to be recovered at this point (among them is a chance of having low white blood cell counts and being very susceptible to infection.) So, ummm.....watch out. As if I wasn't already a total germaphobe. Now you're going to have to wash your hands AND use hand sanitizer before I let you touch my baby! And I may even make you wear a surgical mask. But, really, he thinks everything looks like it will just be a normal kid. Whew!

The baby supposedly weighs 5 pounds, 12 ounces today. With 6 weeks to go? And I think they gain like a half pound a week at this point? This means we could be talking about an 8 or 9 pounder? Lordy. I realize these measurements are far from accurate, but ummmm......[insert mini-freak out here].

The baby looked totally different to me this time (after going a month without seeing it.) I could totally see the chub coming in on the body and cheeks, thank you Little Debbie. It was practicing breathing and blinking and hiccuping. I kept hoping they would switch on the 3D mode, but no dice there. Oh well. The good health report is all I really wanted! Now I can resume my reguarly scheduled nesting activities, such as re-folding the tiny baby socks and eating root beer floats.

Hahaha, skeletor. Funny! I can't wait to find out what this baby is, I don't want to call it, it, anymore.

Hooray, what great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just the thought of giving birth to a child 8 or 9 pds. makes my vagina hurt!
Not to scare you, but it could also be the OTHER way around. They thought Salem was only 4 pounds, 2 ounces the day they induced me; however, she came out to be 5.1. SHIT, what if he's already SIX +??????
Do you hurt down there now too????????

If you need any methods for getting it out, just let me know. I did extensive research and did almost every one of them trying to get Madison out.

Great news, Katie!

And,yeah, those estimates can be pretty off. I was told a pound less than Ashlyn's weight. We expected our baby to be at least 8 lbs, so we didn't believe it. One of our ultrasounds was measured wrong with Christopher, and I was afraid that he would be really huge.

So glad to see a chubby baby! That's the best feeling.

Looks like a pretty baby. Seriously, I think you can see that in the picture.

By the way, Claire was supposed to be 9+ lbs and weighed 7 lbs, 10 oz. Breathe easy.
