Doing Too Much and Yet Not Enough

I can't seem to stop running around like a headless screaming banshee chicken. This morning Becca and I were at the pool before 9 a.m. and then at the grocery store before 10:30 a.m. and outside playing with the neighborhood kids before noon. The past three days have been spent running all over the place, hanging out with Tracy, scrapbooking, socializing at the National Guard squadron and eating more McDonald's than one should. We had a tour of the hospital where I will deliver (unless of course I end up delivering in the car on the way there, see also: history of precipitous labor).

Of course, I am still obsessing about all things baby, and furiously making to-do lists that I then promptly ignore. I have also been busy ignoring all the medical bills and pretending they aren't over there. Right there in that wall cubby. Staring at me. Why are they staring at me??? Someone make them stop.

I have my OB appointment today, another ultrasound tomorrow and will be singing in church a week from Sunday and have yet to select music or practice. I have also (re) discovered these.

God help me.

Does that mean you found a church without drums and that actually uses hymnals?

I feel exactly the same way about my life right now. Only minus the pregnant expecting baby part. Also, can so relate to the precipitous labor part...in fact Navy Hospital cleared me direct to nearest hospital if I had even the slightest inkling I might not make it...baby #2 born in 28 minutes. Navy hospital was 35-40 minutes away for baby #3. This made OB a wee bit nervous. I'll be crossing my fingers that you leave home in PLENTY of time (you know, for the EPIDURAL!)

I couldnt comment on your obsessing post, because I can't imagine anyone NOT obsessing and nesting crazily in your position.

So, how 'bout those baby names??? Progress and compromises??

My GOD you are busy. How do you do all of that, so very pregnant?

Nutty bars. McDonald's. I'm hungry.

MaryB-- You HAVE to be kidding. 28 minutes? Oh. My. God. In. Heaven. Did you make it to the hospital?

SIXTH!

By the way, what kind of camera do you use, Katie? One of my friends wants to know. Actually, I'll just call you...

I LOVE nutty bars! Haven't had them in ages but maybe that should change evil woman? By the by....should we ever actually be in the same state again, it will be nice that all of our kids will be so close in age. Braden is about 3 months younger than Becca and this one won't be long after the one you're cooking now. 5 months maybe? Built in playmates! Yippee!! You're in the home stretch now. Whatever doesn't get done probably wasn't that important. Except maybe those bills.

Goodness, I haven't had a nutty bar in YEARS! I also haven't had a Twinki, and those have been looking mighty good in the stores recently. I threw a box in my cart the other day; however, I put it back asap due to guilt. It just didn't look right sitting next to all the fruit and veggies that I went to buy!

You seriously just described my life. Of course not the pregnancy thing.
