FREEDOM!

Today was the fist full day of preschool and I may have done a small victory dance after dropping Becca off. She didn't cry! She just went right in and started playing at the "Science" table with the rocks and shells and plastic reptiles!

I tore out of the parking lot on two wheels whooping with joy! Two and a half hours to myself during my good (aka non-napping, non-cankled, non-worn down) morning hours! YEE HAW! I don't know WHY I was ever hesitating about signing her up. Thanks again, Mom and Jo Anne, for the sage advice. That kid is READY for school. And, so is her mother.

So, I got coffee, window shopped, went to the doctor (a bit more progress since last week, but nothing to write home about), went to the post office, went to a farm stand to buy local produce, went to the gas station, talked on the phone. It was the strangest feeling. I just wasn't even sure what to do with myself. Two and a half hours was a lot of time to fill. I think next week I'm going to try coming home during the school hours to be all alone in the house--that is the ultimate luxury!

I laughed my ass off at your title! I wanted to title my post that - but, was afraid I'd get crap from family.

Welcome to freedom!

Today, I cooked. Tomorrow, who knows! Coffee w/friends?

Last night when I picked Hannah up from daycare, she waved at her school as we drove away and said "bye-bye school, I love you!". I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! I'm excited for you and Becca and hope that her school experience is as good as Hannah's daycare has been. I find her teachers and the other parents there are a tremendous resource!

I am so envious! Yay for you! There is nothing like personal totally FREE time. I'm so glad you signed her up. And you are making me think I should do the same with Kate. Glorious Freedom!

I can't believe that you got so much done in 2 1/2 hours!

The amount of stuff you did in 2 1/2 hours is amazing. When my daughter started I think all I managed to get done was napping and TV watching!!
