Autumn Morning

Nothing like fall.....blustery, windy, cold and rainy days. (Actually, I don't like the cold and rain, but that is what we have today). It was 39 degrees and windy and raining this morning.

A certain little person thought he would make life really interesting for me by NOT SLEEPING from 3 to 5:30 a.m. Well, he would sleep a little, then wake and grunt and strain and nurse and and cry a little. Then, repeat, every so often throwing in a dirty diaper that required changing right as he would drift off to sleep. So, I am the walking dead today. I was awakened by Becca at her usual hour and I was...... grumpy. Thankfully, Super Dad took Becca to school so that I could sleep. But, I can't. I don't know why. I am the World Champion Napper. But not today. So, here is my recipe for getting myself in a good mood today.

Lighting pumpkin spice candles. Curried sweet potatoes and chicken in the crockpot (recipe, courtesy of MaryB). Watching the Today Show. Reading the LL Bean catalog. Too many M&Ms from this bowl.

Running the dishwasher in a quiet, empty kitchen. Lots of coffee. And this.

It cracks me up that despite your daily chaos and severe lack of sleep that you find the time and energy to take pictures, upload them, and blog every day. That doesn't make sense to me.

Laura,
I know it makes no sense, but it is like I am COMPELLED to blog. I love blogging. I guess I just make time for it. I feel like I'm chatting with friends. It keeps me (a little more) sane. It is like my one thing I have that is just mine! :)
