Happy Halloween!

Andrew lasted for approximately 5 houses of trick or treating with Becca before he started bleating "Feed me! I don't want candy. I want boobie!" So, I'm answering the doorbell and handing out the candy, which is arranged in a very scientific, bad candy on top and Reese's on bottom kind of strata.

Here are the photos from the day. John carved the most thick pumpkin EVER with these tiny little carving saws I bought. I don't know how he did it, but somehow he did! We think it looks like Dopey, the dwarf. So, Becca didn't get her "glass case" but she got Dopey instead.

And here we will show you the progression of me trying to convince Becca to pose for a photo with her brother.

With him? Mom, do I have to?

I don't like this very much. [Andrew: Neither do I!]

Alright. If you promise I'll get candy. [Andrew: and boobie!]

Little by little, I am starting to love Halloween! It is getting better for me every year! Our neighborhood is just great for kids. There are packs of them wandering around, nicely trick or treating with their parents waiting back on the sidewalk, drinking beer out of plastic cups. What's not to love?

That Becca has the prettiest smile! Both of the kids are precious and I think John did a great job on that pumpkin!

Seriously, there is no other way to trick or treat than with some "mommy juice" in hand. Does wonders for keeping you warm, while your children shamelessly gather a crap load of candy for you.

Becca is adorable! And of course Andrew as well!

What IS it with beer & trick-or-treating parents? I LOVE IT. Our neighborhood is the same way. It's like a block party. I don't remember beer being part of Halloween as a kid, but I bet our parents got shnockered every year too.

I love her smile! She has the best facial expressions!

I'm all about the alcohol consumption while trick or treating.
