I Want To Punch Murphy And His Stupid Law In the Face

Guess who's sick? That's right. The 2-year old. Full of snot, an awful, hoarse sounding voice and a lovely non-stop cough and a slight fever.

Guess who is out of town?

Guess who won't let me put him down for two seconds?

Guess who is stuck here FREAKING THE HELL OUT?

That sucks. Back when I had just Julia and Holly - and Oliver was gone - I had trouble with bath/bedtime and juggling who needed me more. There were times I put Holly in the crib and she cried a lot while I bathed Julia. But most days by the time the bath was over, Holly was asleep. Of course listening to a baby squall while you try to soothe a stuffy toddler isn't really very soothing - but if you have to do it, don't feel guilty. Did that help?

Oh Katie! I so wish I was there to help you. Do you want me to go punch that Mom in the face now? I will, you know.

Oh, Katie, I am SO sorry. If I lived closer I would be there wiping snot, making dinner and whatever else I could do to help. I have so been there! Hang in there. This too shall pass. I promise.
