Four Completely Unrelated Things

1. I asked Becca this morning what those mysterious blue things came from. She went to the refrigerator and brought me this magnet from Korea.

Poor boy. His arms "fell off accidently" while I was skyping with my family last night and Becca was entertaining herself. (In another completely unrelated vein: I LOVE Skype. We are having the best time with it. If you're on Skype, let me know!)

2. Thank you all for putting up with my GrumpFest 09 this past week. I was THIS CLOSE to walking up to the nearest insane asylum and begging them to put me in solitary confinement where at least it would be quiet and I could sleep while swaddled nice and tight in my straight jacket. But, then I remembered they don't serve wine there, so I changed my mind. Thankfully, that urge has passed and is now replaced with the urge to go bungee jumping and sky diving. Okay. Not really. Just the urge for a normal, boring night at home with my ritual post-sickness disinfecting routine and followed by lots of sleep. And maybe a beer. And a bath. Wow. That is living, right there.

3. Turns out your child will drink milk if she gets it in this glass.
4. Try cooking salmon this way: dump the salmon, some cooking sherry, some soy sauce and some brown sugar in a zip top bag (I'd say equal parts soy and sherry and then a few tablespoons of brown sugar). Let marinate for about 30 minutes. Then, just pull out the fish and saute in a dry nonstick pan--don't add any oil. When it is nearly done, pour a small bit of marinade in and let it glaze the salmon. Normally I can't stand sweet tasting entrees and marinades and sauces, but I think the salt in the soy sauce balances it out. Yum.

Hahaha, I love that they "accidently" fell off. At least she didn't try to hide them but put them where you would see them.
We are on skype!! We love video'ing' with Ben's parents since they don't see Reid very often.

I'm going to figure out Skype while we're in Austin (if Bevo will teach me.) At least when we are not cooking gumbo for Mardi Gras, or eating BBQ and Tex-Mex.

I love the cup! Ha ha.

Yeah, wait until she starts to tell you that her brother "did it." It happened recently for us - the whole blame thing. No idea where she learned it.

Grammy Bonnie,

Nothing would give us more pleasure than demonstrating to you the technological cutting edge on which we live - Skype!

Love, Bevo

That's so funny you blogged about Skype. I just had a little blurb in mine then decided to check out your blog and viola!
Milk in the cup...fantastic!

I'm so glad you solved the mystery of those little flat blue things. That was driving me ker-nuts.

That cup. I wants it.

Yum. This recipe (or similar: vodka, soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar) works great on flank steak too. Then just put it under the broiler for about 5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of your steak. We had that for dinner last night and even the girls ate it!

We love Skype, too! SO great for deployments and family.

I want a wine glass like that!

Or maybe not, I would most likely just drink more wine because of the cuteness factor!
