This is what happens when I don't leave the house

...Aside from the fact that I haven't changed out of my pjs in days, I cannot stop blogging. I am out of CONTROL. Every time I walk by the computer I want to sit down and blab blab blab to someone who isn't vomiting or coughing or whining or crying or not napping. So, that would be Y'ALL! Aren't you lucky?

I've been calling people on the phone way more than my usual phone-phobic ways. But Becca has learned that if she pretends she's going to throw up I will hang up immediately. Then, she'll look at me and just say, sweet as pie, "Will you play ponies with me?"

To keep from going too stir crazy, here is a cool craft that we've been into lately. Crayon melts.

You have to have one of these nifty food warmer things. Thanks to John's mom, Jo Anne, we have two of them (from the 1970s in Harvest Gold) and I use them every Thanksgiving. We now have another cool use for them.
You cover it with foil, then allow kids to draw on it with crayons. The crayons melt and get all goopy. It is very cool. Then the kid puts on an oven mitt, lays a piece of paper of the drawing and rubs the back of the paper, transferring the melted crayon drawing on to the paper. Then, wipe the foil clean with a wet paper towel and start over. It is so fun!

Okay. So that took 5 minutes. Now what do we do?

Tell us more :) Why don't you break out the taboo airport toys you didn't get to use (i.e. Scotch tape, etc.)? Plus more popsicles.

Now what do we do??? GO TO TEXAS!!

I would go to Texas, except that there are all kind of complicating factors...namely, it is about to be spring break down there and the flights all get too full to fly back standby. So, I need to travel mid-week. And I just don't feel like I want to attempt the whole thing just to be there for a few days. We have John's birthday to celebrate the weekend of the 14th and I have to get back before then and my parents will be out of town this weekend and the flights are all full, etc etc.....Damn spring break.

God, but it is tempting....

What cool prints you are making! I will keep this idea in mind for teaching monoprints to Kindergarten, I think. Another good way to use up broken crayons, too.
