Denial is a River in my Blackened Heart

This summer is going by way too fast. I waited all through the bleary unending virus-infested winter for the glorious warmth and sun to arrive. Tonight when putting Andrew to bed at his usual time, I noticed it was almost dark in the room. And I almost cried....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It can't be over! It can't be edging up on fall. NO NO NO. I won't hear of it.

So, I promptly threw away the Target circular with Back to School stuff in it. Then, I went outside and picked some fresh tomatoes off the plant in my Charlie Brown garden. And I made plans to go swimming tomorrow with friends.

I can hardly even stand the thought of Back to School...even though Becca will be going three mornings a week and I'll get more of a break than ever....but. Ugh. Viruses. Snot. Dark, cold, freezing days. Boots. Hate. I just won't hear of it. Summer will last until at least February. Yes. Yes it will.

Move to Texas. It won't make the days longer, but they'll be warmer. 105 today. Hottest summer on record... Oh, for a cool breeze!

Funny I was just thinking I can see the light at the end of the tunnell...Summer's more than half done and maybe by October it'll be just a bit cooler. My Aug is your Feb.

The thought of getting up and out of the thouse and snot and darkness and viruses, and snotty kids and ohh, I will not have it.. SUMMER, I am demanding you stay until february too! (that should be enough right? our two voices will make ALLL LLLL the difference!)s
