In Which I Don't Tie Anything Together

I am breathing a sigh of relief after the seven nights of chorus practice and concerts. It is exhilarating singing on stage with an entire orchestra....but it is also a relief to be home tonight with nowhere to be. My DVR is totally full. I have some important things to do tonight: Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, Grey's, The Office, Mad Men.... So many funny things have happened since I last blogged. My mom and I were cracking up repeatedly and discussing how I had to blog about various incidents. But I have already forgotten them. Life is just speeding by. The big news around here is that my dad bought Becca a terrarium when he was in town last week. And it sat around empty for awhile, except for a few doomed earthworms. The other night, late, around midnight, I saw a toad hopping along the sidewalk. I steathily caught it in a butterfly net (also provided by my dad). My mom and I screamed like little girls trying to get that nasty thing into the terrarium. Toads are SO GROSS.
And now...Lila the toad is a resident of our family room. She is pretty much the most boring pet ever....just stays buried all day. But last night, I was looking at her in the dark and she was hopping all over and flinging herself at the glass. I feel a bit guilty about imprisoning her....I am kind of starting to like her. I think I watch her more than Becca does. We went apple and pumpkin picking today. I'm trying my best to slow down and enjoy this. Every bit of it.

Apple picking looks like fun... BUT.....

the family photo bellow is HILARIOUS!! If I were you, I would get a HUGE one & hang it proud in the most obvious spot in the house; I love it!!

I love picking apples - and whatever else I can eat straight off a tree! Wonderful!

You have the most adorable family EVER!!! Love the photos! The pumpkin outing looks lots more fun than the picture-taking one. However, it is nice to have a good professional photo now and then.

I mean, a GOOD professional photo... Must admit, though, I'd have bought that hilarious one, too, if I'd been there!

YAY for toads! I love that Becca, your beautiful princess-loving girlie, loves toads. She's a girl after my own heart.

LOVE the photos. And great job surviving seven nights of singing!
