Diversion

Have y'all seen this? If you see the dancer turning clockwise, you are right brained and vice versa.

I see her spinning clockwise. This means I am more "big picture" oriented and more in the fantasy world of the right brain. Ummmmm....fairies! I see them! What is that large purple aura floating about the room? I am hungry for a giant buffet consisting of Brie cheese, popcorn doused with butter and fresh parmesan, gourmet olives and sourdough bread. Oh hello, Mr. Amadeus Mozart. Were you really such a freak?

What? Oh. Hi. Was I blogging?

Right. So, after determining which way she spins, see if you can change the direction of the spinning lady. I sat and stared for a long time before being able to change it. If I stare at the standing foot and zone out for a while, I can zone back in and change it to start spinning to the left. WEIRD! Fantasy world, indeed!

Which way does she spin for you?

John saw her going clockwise as well.

Clockwise. I will have to try spinning her the other way later.

I saw her spinning clockwise at first, but if I blinked a few times I could see her going counter-clockwise.

Great optical puzzle!!

Up here in Minnesota she started right, then flipped left, then flipped right. . .etc. What kind of brain does THAT mean???

not to be all anti-Kashley, but i saw her spinning counter-clockwise. makes sense to me because i love facts, math, science, etc. :)

I immediately saw her going clockwise, but then she switched.

That's weird that she switches for some of you. I have to really concentrate to see her go the other way!

I totally looked at that illusion on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning when I was supposed to be writing a paper!! Then, it only went counterclockwise. Today, it's going both, especially if I use my peripheral vision, but if I look only at her feet, she's clearly standing on her right leg turning to the left--counterclockwise. Maybe it's the dancer in me, but I can't change it back after looking at that!

counter-clockwise. makes perfect sense that i'd be left-brained as my career is built around words and language and being detail-oriented. so interesting. didn't spend too much time on it, but i couldn't get her to spin the other way.

Definitely clockwise. I tried the other way for about 30 seconds but decided I need to try again later...after my bowl of cereal.

Susan, I DEFINITELY would think you would have seen clockwise! Funny!

This test keeps freaking me out, because she SWITCHES like over and over and OVER! AHHH! What does it mean?

Ok, saw her going clockwise right away but the next time I looked (a few seconds later), she was going counter-clockwise and after that, it was all I could see. As I'm spending time staring at this dancer, my child is unloading a desk drawer. Hmmm...maybe I should go? Back to the test, would not have pegged myself as left brain. Interesting.

Clockwise. How did you come across that?

She looked clockwise to me - but I showed it to Julia and she said the lady kept switching back and forth. I can't seem to make her go the other way.

Well dammit. Now I'll see her spinning clockwise no matter what because you TOLD ME THAT'S WHAT WAY SHE SPINS. I am too suggestible to be given any answers or indications beforehand. I tend to absord the brain-sided-ness of whoever I am around at the time. Hi, my name is PATHETIC.

I don't know how, but now I can see her going back and forth - like she is not really going all the way around!

I figured out how I see her going back and forth - look at the shadow of her feet!

I love this and I love reading how everyone saw it so differently.

I saw her spin clockwise first and then saw when she switched up the other way, over and over again.

Other than that, she just looked like she could have used a sweater!

I actually see you as a mix. Post on my blog what you think I am. I am curious what others think...

I see counter-clockwise. Andrew sees clockwise. Now, we're debating our sides to each other.
Thanks for sharing with us...very interesting!

Clockwise but I can change her at will (really) I looked at it while it changed direction and Scott thought I was crazy because it kept going clockwise for him....I am genius though, with a really high IQ.....don't know if that has anything to do with anything....maybe I am not a genius. What's going on here?

I see both. First she spins one way, then she changes, then she changes again, and so on. I thought at first that the SITE was doing it.

Counter clockwise. I couldn't get her to change direction.
